My Grace
“Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12: 9-10
Dearest Diane,
My grace is sufficient for you.
I am enough for you. Today.
I will give of my strength where you need it – and to the extent that you need it.
You do not need to be strong – when “strong” robs you of joy or peace… or trust – in me.
You do not need to be strong – when “strong” hurts those around you by your absence or anger.
You do not need to be strong – because you feel that I expect that – I don’t.
I abundantly love you. Today. As I will. Tomorrow.
My grace…
…is my favor (goodwill, kindness, provision) poured out on you in generous abundance – simply because I love you. Rest in it. Stop trying so hard. Rest, beloved. Receive.
…is forgiveness. Let go of yesterday’s failures. Receive today’s manna and hope for tomorrow.
My grace
…Sees your weakness, understands your weakness, extends forgiveness, heals, restores, builds, never gives up, hopes, believes… Do you recognize love in these words? Rest in them.
…has offered you all that you need. I have saved you for myself. I give of myself for your holiness. Come away from the avarice of the world and receive from me. The riches of heaven.
Enter my joy. Today.
Love, God
It is only my pride that is broken by this. And, it needs to be. I humble myself before you. You know me so well, and still you love me, hope for me – yearn for me. Who can resist such love extended to me with such grace that overwhelms me? I am so thankful that I don’t need to prove anything to you. I don’t need to earn your love or favor. I don’t need to be perfect. At this moment, I rest in you and receive from you – knowing that I will be changed – renewed – strengthened. You will lead me through green pastures and through dark valleys. You will be with me. You will strengthen me.
Love, Diane
